Overview of Current Fuel Management Programs

Funding programs currently available are:

Community Wildfire Protection Planning:

To assist communities in the development of plans that will assist them in improving fire prevention and protection in interface areas.

Fuel Treatment Pilot Program

To assist communities in conducting pilot projects that explore fuel management treatment alternatives and demonstrate or showcase these alternatives for the community.

Operational Fuel Treatment Program:

To assist communities to treat fuels and mitigate the potential impacts of wildfire as identified during the Community Wildfire Protection Plan development phase.

Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis and processed as received. As program funds are depleted, applications will be prioritized based on risk.
